Hello everyone! It has been a WHILE since I last posted on this blog. Life has been quite a roller coaster and if you follow my Instagram there is a small glimpse of that. I will do an update blog post section under Journal about what’s been going on in my life, so stay tuned for that!

Step 1: Cleanse ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆
Since I am just washing my face from my night time skin care, I cleanse my face with a more hydrating and gentle cleanser. My favorite cleanser from Neutrogena’s Hydro boost line (great stuff), the gentle cleansing lotion. This is perfect for all skin types because it is non foaming and doesn’t strip your skin dry.
Step 2: Tone ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆
Tbh, sometimes I skip this step when I am lazy but I am currently rotating between two:
I really like Meebak’s Cica toner! This is a newer brand that needs to be hyped up more and all their products are made in South Korea! The spray is to die for and I would consider repurchasing it in the future. It contains ingredients such as centella asiatica (cica extract), ceramide NP, and tocopherol (Vitamin E). It also has a fresh natural scent, and you can use it to set makeup. Cica, or Tiger Grass, repairs damaged and ultra-sensitive skin. Cica effectively rebuilds the skin barrier, restores moisture balance, and even smooths out skin texture. I am also using the Fresh Deep Hydration Rose toner. It is very luxurious and I got a mini size from a gift set, but I wouldn’t repurchase it due to price. It has a lot of floating rose petals in the bottle, but only the liquid is dispensable. It also has fragrance on top of the natural rose scent so I wouldn’t recommend it to those with sensitive skin.
Step 3: Serum ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆
There is a lot of hype about Vitamin C serums, but its for a good reason! Vitamin C helps brighten dark spots and increase collagen production in the skin. Vitamin C is an antioxidant I have been researching the best Vitamin C serum that has the best skincare ingredients for the price. I also still stand by the Sweet Chef’s Vitamin C Serum, but I’m obsessed with Meebak’s Cica and Vitamin C serum.
The formula of Meebak’s doesn’t give a slight greasy dry down like Sweet Chef’s. Meebak’s serum also includes niacinamide and panthenol which are great ingredients. If you have more oil prone skin, I recommend Meebak’s more. So much in fact, I bought 6 more bottles to hoard after buying one…I’m not kidding. During the day I also use this serum under the eyes: The Ordinary’s Caffeine Solution 5%. It is great for reducing dark circles and puffiness under the eyes since it has a high concentration of caffeine in it. Plus, it drug store price as well as the rest of the products in this brand so you need to check out The Ordinary!
Step 4: Eye cream ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆
Eye cream isn’t a necessary step as long as you have a good moisturizer. However, I am finishing Sweet Chef’s Tumeric Vitamin C Eye Booster Cream. It has a wonderful texture, not too thick and not too rich to clog pores. You can you this during the day or night. It is a great splurge item that wont break the bank at a retail price of $18.
Step 5: Moisturizer ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆
A light-weight moisturizer I currently use is the Rovectin Lotus Water Cream.
It is a great day time moisturizer for normal to oily skin types. What is really cool about this is that it comes with a whole bunch of stickers to decorate the bottle, which is blank white. It has 95% lotus extract which is great for hydration. It feels almost like water on the face and it dries down to a thin non greasy semi-glowy finish. It has a light natural scent and contains no added fragrance. Original price is $20 for 2.1 fl oz of product. It is a great affordable price and even better when its on sale!
Step 6: Sunscreen ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆
Not gonna lie, sometimes I skip the moisturizer step because this sunscreen doubles as a moisturizer: DRMTGLY Broad Spectrum SPF 45 and Universal Tinted Moisturizer SPF 46.
With all the controversy with Korean sunscreens, it took me quite a while to find a trustable sunscreen that is nongreasy, is good under makeup, and doesn’t give a white cast at an affordable price. Aaaannd I found it folks. I have both the tinted version and the non-tinted version. I am pretty fair so the tinted one is too dark; however, I mix both of these together so the tint is way less and fits my skin tone. he broad spectrum SPF does give a little white cast and that’s why I mix the two together. They are essentially the same formula just different names. I do 1-2 pumps of the non-tinted one and 1 pump of the tinted sunscreen. It gives a glowy finish but I set my face with powder and it looks great. I highly recommend these sunscreens to everyone! If you have a light-medium to dark skin tone, just the tinted version would be perfect for you. If you are light or fair, I recommend mixing the two to get the perfect shade.
These sunscreens always sell out and so get it when you can!
Step 7: Lips ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆
Best lip oil ever- Elf’s CBD Lip Oil. Lip oils are a trend right now and almost every brand is coming out with them. I love this one for the price (again when elf has a sale add this to your cart) and how it feels on the lips. It has a sweet mint smell and glides on the lips seamlessly. It is clear and feels more like an oil than other lip oil products. Some lip oil products on the market feel thicker, more like a gloss or balm. However Elf’s lip oil feels like a nourishing and thin on the lips. I also like to use this product to prep for other lip products on top.
Aaaaand thats my entire morning skin care routine! I stan these products and I am always on the lookout for clean and good ingredient skin care products for a great price.
